Tap Water

March 16, 2010

Now that I have a flight booked to go home, I’ve realized I’ve let myself get excited about certain things in the US ( as evidenced by my jealousy over American toiletries.) Tap water is at the top of my list. I can’t wait to be able to take a glass from the cabinet, fill it with ice and drink as much water from the faucet as I can. Cold water. I feel like here I’m constantly dehydrated and rationing out water. There’s a perpetual thirstiness. At the risk of sounding like a UNICEF ad, tap water is so one of the things you take for granted until you’re without it.
