Frango & Cia

July 3, 2009

I don’t know how long it will take us to work up the courage to buy our eggs and chicken here:

From this stand.  But I think it looks amazingly charming.  Frango is chicken, and you can’t really see it, but there are glass cases in front filled with little chickies and chicken pieces.  Obviously there are the eggs.  I don’t know what cia means, because egg is actually ovo, but I’m sure I’ll find out eventually.  This also gives a pretty good illustration of a Leblon side street.  They’re leafy, with the famous sidewalks (Copacabana’s wavy lines are the most famous, but the black and white sidewalks criss cross the city.)
